About the Author

Darin Montgomery worked as a trouble-shooter for a major corporation helping various locations achieve greater profitability mainly through people development and building teamwork in the workplace.  This experience coupled with work in Career Counseling, Human Resource Management, Training, Teaching and Business Consulting has given him a unique insight into people.

Darin received his calling from God before he graduated from Arkansas State University.  However, his lifestyle and love for business kept him from pursuing the dream that God had placed in him.  Until he pursued God’s dream, nothing else satisfied him.

After several years of fighting the calling on his life and during a battle with a severe health condition that was stealing his life and joy, Darin finally submitted to God and wrote A Membership Guide to the Body of Christ.  Through the intense research and constant seeking of God while writing the book, Darin received his healing in 2007.  He is a marvel to his doctors for recovering from an incurable condition that is very disabling.

Darin currently resides with his wife, April and daughter Autumn north of Nashville, Tennessee in Greenbrier.  He is a Teacher in the local church.  Darin burns with a passion to see the Body of Christ line up with the word of God and to see Christians stand up for Jesus Christ.

About a Membership Guide to the Body of Christ

We live in a great society that is pushing away what made it great- God.  Greatness comes with a price, but so does the downfall of a civilization that fails to allow God to reign in that society.  When good people stop fighting for truth, sin is in control.

The Body of Christ has lost its purpose.  Christians exist to fulfill a destiny, the Great Commission.  Because of lack of knowledge, our Christian heritage is being washed away with secularism in America.  Christians must wake up and be educated to take their rightful place in Christ.

Many people in churches today have a form of godliness, but do not really know Christ.  Churches must teach people how to get out of the pews and become part of the Great Commission.  The church has become too worldly and selfish and the people do not know how to give themselves for a greater cause.  To move into the Great Commission, the people in churches must know how to get along with other Christians and how we should behave around those that are lost to Christ.  Today, we Christians lose our witness because of the worldliness or sin that we present to unbelievers and even believers.  After reading A Membership Guide to the Body of Christ, Christians will understand the consequences of not being Christ-like in the church and in the outside world.

The Body must understand that Jesus is the head of the Body and that all parts are important to Him.  Even the less desirable parts will receive more honor if they are fulfilling their God-ordained purpose.  However, if one part of the body does not do its’ part, the whole body runs less efficiently.  Your job is to ensure that you are not that body part that is less efficient.  Your church and God’s church is needing people with a real purpose, to serve Him with all their heart, mind, and soul.

A Membership Guide to the Body of Christ is about being a true Christian person who helps create an atmosphere both inside and outside the local church that will draw the lost to salvation.  Strong disciples birth strong disciples.  The law of multiplication takes over if we all will do our part for Christ and stay on the mission that Jesus gave us.
